Two-wheeler maker Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle is going to launch a sporty version of its most popular bike Jawa 42 in India today (September 3). The company recently released its teaser, which revealed the rear design of the bike. The new version of Jawa 42 can be priced between Rs 2.10 to 2.20 lakh ex-showroom. In the Indian market, it will compete with the new Royal Enfield Classic 350, priced at Rs. 1.99-2.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Design: Will get a naked look Talking about the design of the bike, the bike will come with a naked look with side or split grab rails, twin angular exhaust pipes and twin rear suspension. It will get an attractive teardrop-shaped fuel tank adorned with Java stickers and alloy wheels. The position of the foot pegs suggests that this riding position feels more sporty than sitting upright. Apart from this, Java will introduce a newly designed seat in it. Java 42: Hardware and Features The new Java 42 may be based on a new framework. For a comfortable ride, it can be provided with twin forks at the front and adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. The bike will have both spoke and alloy wheel options. At the same time, for braking, disc brakes with dual-channel ABS can be seen on both the wheels. Talking about the features, the new Java 42 will get a digital instrument console, all LED lighting with indicators. Performance: A more powerful engine will be available The new version of Java 42 will be more powerful than the current model. It is expected that the bike will come with a 334cc single-cylinder, DOHC 4V liquid-cooled engine. This engine generates a maximum power of 30hp and a peak torque of 32.7Nm. For transmission, a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch is available.
