According to a study, one in every three women above 60 years of age in India may suffer from arthritis. But now its risk is increasing even in the age of 20 to 30. Let us know how to get relief from arthritis pain.
apply hot and cold compress
If you are suffering from arthritis, you can get relief from hot and cold compresses. You can compress the joints with a hot water bag, heat pad or hot towel, this relaxes the muscles and can help in reducing pain. At the same time, applying an ice bag on the joints can reduce swelling and pain. Arthritis patients should use this regularly on the advice of the doctor.
Include anti-inflammatory things in the diet
Anti-inflammatory properties help reduce inflammation. Turmeric and ginger have anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric contains curcumin, which reduces inflammation and pain, so ginger has also been used to reduce inflammation. Arthritis patients can get relief by mixing a teaspoon of turmeric in a glass of warm milk daily.
Do exercise
Make it a habit to do light exercise and yoga regularly. It helps in increasing flexibility in joints and reducing pain. Exercises like walking and swimming can also be helpful. Avoid sitting for too long. Making a habit of walking daily is beneficial for arthritis problems.
