Alcaraz pulls off US Open upset: World No. 74 Zandskulp beats in straight sets; Former No. 1 Osaka also lost

Spain's star tennis player Carlos Alcaraz was eliminated in the second round of the US Open. In the men's singles second round on Friday, world No. 3 Alcaraz was defeated by world No. 74 Botik van de Zandskulp. Netherlands' Zandskulp defeated four-time Grand Slam winner Alcaraz 6-1, 7-5, 6-4 in a match that lasted two hours and 19 minutes on the center court of the Arthur Ashe Stadium. After losing to Novak Djokovic in the final of the Paris Olympics, he lost to Gael Monfils in the opening round of the Cincinnati Open tennis tournament. Apart from this, he also won a silver medal in the Paris Olympics.
