Being a mother is the most beautiful feeling in the world. As beautiful as it is, it is also full of difficulties. Women are blessed by nature to become mothers, but to achieve this they have to undergo severe penance. Pregnancy not only affects a woman's body, but it also has a profound effect on her mind. In nine months he endures various physical and mental tortures. During this time his patience is repeatedly tested, he has to make many sacrifices and just then a new 'life' smiles in his lap. When pregnancy and motherhood affect a woman's brain, it is called 'pregnancy brain' or 'mommy brain'. It is also known by many other names like 'Momnesia'. During pregnancy, a woman who has pregnancy brain may have a slightly weaker memory, or she may forget things more quickly. Many women face this problem during and after pregnancy. But neither they have the correct information about it nor are they able to share it with anyone. According to a study by the 'National Library of Medicine', more than 80% of pregnant women go through 'pregnancy brain'. Almost every woman experiences many changes in the brain during pregnancy. So today in 'Tabyatpani' we will talk about pregnancy brain. We will know what are the symptoms and causes of this problem during pregnancy and motherhood. We will also know how pregnant women can get rid of this. Gynecologist Dr. Seema Sharma spoke to Frontpage Insights on this topic and also gave some suggestions in this regard. According to a study published in Nature Neuroscience, during pregnancy and after becoming a mother, the amount of gray matter in women's brain decreases in several areas. Gray matter is a type of tissue in the brain and spinal cord that plays an important role in helping you function normally on a daily basis. What are the symptoms of pregnancy brain? Pregnancy brain is a normal and temporary condition and goes away after delivery. Not every woman necessarily goes through this problem, but for many women it is a normal part of pregnancy. People in America and Europe take it seriously, but in countries like India it is largely ignored. According to a research published at the University of British Columbia, women's brains undergo many changes after pregnancy. Their ability to think, understand and feel is greatly affected, especially after becoming a mother. When does pregnancybrain problem start? According to a study published in the Australian journal, 'Cognitive Impairment During Pregnancy: A Meta-Analysis', the adverse effect on the ability to think and understand is called 'pregnancy brain' or 'baby brain'. Dr Seema says that in problems like memory loss, a person has to face problems like forgetting small things, forgetting things after keeping them, not being able to concentrate on any work, difficulty in keeping one's things in order. Pregnant women feel shy even in making simple decisions. This condition occurs due to hormonal changes during pregnancy in women. Major changes in hormones during pregnancy affect the brain, affecting memory and attention. Sleep also decreases during pregnancy, which directly affects the brain. Lack of sleep also increases stress levels. How to Protect Pregnant Women from Pregnancy Brain Pregnant women are always thinking about their unborn baby. How will the pregnant child be, whether it will have any problems, whether the child is developing properly or not, the apprehension arises in the mother's mind. When this fear becomes excessive, it causes stress and irritability. Because of this he can neither focus on any work nor focus on himself. When the baby is born after 9 months, within 48 hours of delivery, about 80% of the placental hormones have stopped leaving the woman's body. A mother's role changes with the birth of a newborn. Due to the lack of sleep and the new responsibility of raising a newborn, the pregnancy brain turns into 'mommy brain'. But with time this problem also goes away. Dr. Seema suggests that women with problems like pregnancybrain should learn time management. They should make daily plans, this can reduce their forgetfulness problem. Also getting enough sleep and rest is very important for women. It often happens that during or after pregnancy, women feel nauseous after eating and cannot pay attention to their eating habits. Dr. Seema advises him not to do so. Women should eat a nutritious diet. Also, your lifestyle should include yoga and meditation.
