iPhone maker Apple's biggest launch event of the year will be held on September 9. The company has already started sending out official invites for the event, with the tagline 'It's Glowtime'. Apple may introduce four models in the iPhone 16 series at the event – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. However, the company has not given information about the products that will be launched at the event. The event will start at 10:30 PM IST on Monday, September 9. The company has been streaming pre-recorded videos since 2020, in which it launches new series of iPhones and other products. Display size may change According to many leaks, Apple may change the display size of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The iPhone 16 Pro Max could have a 6.9-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro could have a 6.3-inch display. iPhone 16: Expected Specifications iPhone 16 Plus: Expected Specifications iPhone 16 Pro: Expected Specifications iPhone 16 Pro: Expected Specifications iPhones are being manufactured in India from 2017 Apple started manufacturing iPhones in India in 2017 with the iPhone SE. It has three Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) partners – Foxconn, Wistron and Pegatron. After iPhone SE, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 were also manufactured in India. Foxconn's plant is in Sriperumbudur near Chennai. Apple is a part of the Government of India's PLI scheme All three of Apple's contract manufacturers (Foxconn, Wistron and Pegatron) have received Government of India's Rs. 41,000 crore as part of the Production-Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI). It is only after this scheme that iPhone production in India has increased. In 2020, the Government of India launched the PLI scheme. Through this scheme, companies from foreign countries get an opportunity to benefit from local production and are also encouraged to do so. The Type-C port was offered for the first time last year Apple also launched the iPhone 15 series, Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 at the 'Wanderlust' event last year.
