New Black Edition of Kia Seltos X-Line trim launched: SUV gets ADAS safety features with Black Pearl color, to rival Tata Harrier and Hyundai Creta

Kia Motors today (August 26) launched the X-Line trim of the midsize SUV Seltos with a new Aurora Black Pearl color option. This new variant is an alternative to the existing Matte Graphite finish color. The car is equipped with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) feature. Apart from the new color in the exterior of the car, the South Korean company has also changed the interior. Till now this trim was available only in dark gray shade. The ex-showroom price of the X-Line trim of the Kia Seltos starts at Rs 19.65 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.37 lakh. It will compete with Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Highrider, MG Hector, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushak. Exterior: The car features several gloss black finish elements The Kia Seltos Aurora Black Pearl Edition features several gloss black finish elements including front and rear skid plates, exterior rear-view mirror, shark-fin antenna, tailgate garnish and faux exhaust on the rear bumper. Apart from this, orange accents have been given on the skid plates, side door garnish and wheel center cap. The front calipers are silver, while the front and rear bumpers, shark fin antenna, spoiler, door handles, side door garnish and wheel center cap outline have all been updated. The model also gets 18-inch dual-tone crystal cut alloy wheels with a black glossy outline and an X-Line logo on the tailgate. Kia Seltos has three engine options The Seltos has three engine and five transmission options. It has a new 1.5 liter 4 cylinder turbo GDI petrol engine, which generates 160 PS of power and 253 NM of torque. Talking about the transmission, the option of 6 speed iMT and 7 speed DCT is available with this engine. The car is also powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder Advanced SmartStream regular petrol engine, which generates 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. This engine is tuned with two transmission options 6 speed manual (6MT) and IVT automatic gearbox. Apart from this, the option of 1.5 liter 4 cylinder refined CRDi VGT diesel engine has also been given. This engine generates 116 PS of power and 250 NM of torque. It is tuned to 6iMT and 6AT gearboxes. Kia Seltos: Features Seltos will get dual zone climate control, LED lights, power-adjusted ventilated seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting with LED sound mode light, air purifier, 8-speaker premium Bose audio system and more. The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift features a 10.25-inch seamless dual display. It includes a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital TFT instrument cluster on the center console. 17 Autonomous Level-2 Advanced Features 17 Autonomous Level-2 features are available in the Seltos facelift. These include Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist, Rear Blind Spot Collision Avoidance and Autonomous Emergency Braking. Apart from this, the car will also get 6 airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, child ISOFIX anchorage.
