Mark Wood out of Test series against Sri Lanka: Injured in first match, left-arm pacer Josh Hull joins squad

England fast bowler Mark Wood has been ruled out of the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka due to a hamstring injury. Leicestershire's young fast bowler Josh Hull has been included in the squad in place of Wood for the remaining two matches of the series. Josh Hull is a 20-year-old left-arm fast bowler who plays for Leicestershire. His height is 6 feet 7 inches. Hull has been selected in the senior England squad for the first time. However, before the start of the series, Hull was part of the England Lions squad in a practice match against Sri Lanka. He took a total of 5 wickets in this match. England lead 1-0 in the series The England team has taken a 1-0 lead in the ongoing 3-match Test series against Sri Lanka. In the first innings of this match, Sri Lanka scored 236 runs with the help of captain Dhananjay de Silva (74 runs) and Milan Ratnayake (72 runs) half-centuries. In response, the English team scored 358 runs on the basis of Jamie Smith's century (111 runs) and took a lead of 122 runs in the first innings.
